Fourth of July

Bula family and friends!

We are having an amazing trip in Togo. Our day started with a delicious home cooked breakfast at 7:30am followed by a gorgeous walk to the school where we began our work for the day. Today, we started to re-paint the walkway leading up to the school. After lunch, we headed back to school for a little more work and a lot of playing. We were welcomed onto the rugby field and volleyball court, as well as taken into the forest where we watched the Fijian boys race to get us coconuts. We were then taught by Master Leone how to cut open coconuts! After eating our fill of coconuts, we  played volleyball until dark and headed back to our host families. We will soon head off to a dance performance by local children followed by kava and dancing in celebration of the Fourth of July. We are sending lots of love from this beautiful island and can’t wait to share our adventures with you all when we get back.
