Bula Community Service Fiji family,

We have spent the past four days in the Green Mountain state at leader orientation preparing with excitement for our incredible island program. We are looking forward to meaningful work and community engagement in our host village of Togo, as well as snorkeling, hiking, participating in a traditional kava ceremony, and creating memories with you.

Before our program begins, research how to say the following words and phrases in Fijian:

• “Where is the bathroom?”
• “How much is this?”

Remember to pack small gifts for the community welcome party, a pair of reef shoes to protect your feet from coral, and your open heart and open mind. We cannot wait to embark on this adventure and community service opportunity in Fiji with you!
